Species Accounts

We aim to provide here detailed accounts of a selection of the lichen species to be found in Great Britain and Ireland. Only a small number of accounts have been produced initially, in order to demonstrate the types of information included, the layout and the functionality. Many more will be added in due course. The accounts available to date are listed below and in the sidebar on the left. Click on a link to see the account.

Usage Notes: Within the accounts, clicking on a photo, a distribution map, or the map key will enlarge them in a new window. Where there is more than one photo these are displayed as thumbnails beneath the currently displayed photo - click on a thumbnail to display it in the main window, and click on this again to enlarge it further. Hover the mouse to the right or the left of the main photo and a left or right arrow will appear. You can also use these to scroll through images. In the top left of the photo main display there is a letter "i". Click on this for more information on the photo.
